Boys and Girls Club
Funded in part with grants and donations from the NY/NJ Super Bowl XLVIII Host Committee, Prudential, and Public Service Electric & Gas company, the Central Clubhouse of the Boys and Girls Club is a 32,000 square foot recreation center that was extensively renovated. The work included a new gymnasium complete with all sports accessories, sports flooring, spectator seating, and a new independent dance and instruction studio. The first floor main floor and lobby was transformed into an expansive open multi- use area with a new entrance, central game and activity area, crafts and work group breakout areas, cubbie storage with computer and instruction areas and dedicated separate teen only rooms. The space was also dramatically opened up to a renovated competition size swimming pool with new lockers, bleachers, and toilet rooms.
