Fresco

The new Fresco is where neighborhood restaurant and Italian food shopping meet. Formerly a formal dining restaurant, the firm was hired to re-invent the building into a casual, relaxed eatery with bright displays, open kitchen/ preparation areas that are shared with customers and shopping aisles. In a triangular shape building that comes seemingly to a narrow point, the zones of dining, and shopping are carefully separated but overlap to create marketplace feel. Oversized fixtures and a serpentine, somewhat random service counter all help along the busy Fresco trattoria vibe. The exterior new façade plays up a streetscape rhythm of new windows, washed stucco finish and the Fresco tomato canopy logo.
